Uncle Tim has a new job in town, and been living with us since July, while Aunt Laura and the boys are still in LaPorte. While we were still on vacation, we kept James for a week so that he and Adele could have some fun together. Tim goes home on most weekends, but for the past two weekends, Laura has brought the boys down, so we've had lots of "Cousin time!" Andrew has been here too, he just never slows down enough for us to take his picture!

Garden Update

Our garden never was all that productive this summer, but we did grow a few tiny, yet tasty watermelons...




I have about 10 cherry tomatoes that are still green (so far, only one turned red, and that was a few weeks ago...), and just noticed two new green peppers today. I picked several carrots, varying from two to six inches in length, and had a handful of cucumbers as well. The pumpkins didn't make it. I had at least half a dozen start, but the biggest one only grew to a diameter of a few inches before it died. I think the hay bales just didn't have enough nutrients in them to support the pumpkins. I am planning a "real" garden for next year...





As you can see, Anna's hoping I add some sweet corn into the mix!

Snuggle Time!

While our hours spent at home together are much shorter with school in session, we're definitely not skimping on the snuggles....
