Yoga...or Yogurt?

Tonight Daddy was out with some friends, so Adele and I had a "girls" night. She desperately needed her nails trimmed, especially with as itchy/rashy as she's been lately, so I tricked her into a trim by pulling out the purple nail polish! That certainly did the trick! She's never been a better "patient" for me! Of course, she insisted that MY nails be painted purple as well!

While we waited for our nails to dry, Adele tried out some yoga. (I go to a prenatal yoga class on Monday nights, and Miss Adele was "membering" that I showed her some yoga last night when she had asked where I was going.) She waked into the TV room and assumed the "downward dog" position. I joined her, and we stayed in downward dog for a minute, then I showed her some other poses. I was amazed at her large motor skills-she could almost do the poses correctly! (Which takes talent when your toddler-sized head is still pretty disproportionate to your body!) She must've forgotten the name "yoga" for a second, because she asked me what we were doing, and when I replied "yoga," she said, "like gogurt?" (yogurt). It was pretty cute.

We ended our yoga session with a great big hug and then headed up to brush teeth. The icing on the cake tonight was the entire bedtime routine with NO tears...AND a sleeping toddler (confirmed by my new video monitor-thanks Daddy!) by the time I waddled myself downstairs!

'Member?

We've been so impressed with Adele's memory lately. She will talk about things that happened ages ago, and this weekend actually started asking us if we "'member" them too!

In January, we went to Monkey Joe's with Uncle Tim, Aunt Laura, James and Bapa. On the way home, Adele got her thumb stuck in the plastic lid from her drink cup. She was a trooper about it, but hadn't mentioned it since. Well, this morning at breakfast, she went from talking about church to asking if we "'member" when her finger was in her Monkey Joe's cup...just out of nowhere.

It's pretty cool that her language skills are developing like this, unfortunately, I'm afraid Daddy is in for ONE more girl who can remember at a moment's notice which booth we ate in at the McDonalds in Oglesby in 2002 on the way to Madison for DCI...

Great Wolf Lodge!

Adele had a blast on our trip to the Great Wolf Lodge over spring break! She was definitely our little dare devil. She even got in trouble for going down the slides face first (yes...on purpose!) But after we talked to her, she was a good girl and always went "on mine butt."

Adele's bed:

Snoopy!

Bear Chair:

"Mine, all mine!"

Bear hugs:

Not quite yet, but she's SO proud of her shirt!

Can you find Adele climbing up the stairs? (Look for the light blue life jacket)

On the Yellow slide (her favorite!)

Which slide will she choose next?

The winding blue slide, of course!
Another mom at the top helps her wait in line (sometimes the bigger kids would cut her off and she'd stand there FOREVER just waiting...the lifeguards didn't see her, since she's so small!)

Whee!

Another favorite activity (washing her hair?):

So silly!

More!

"Look at how silly I am, mom!"

Going to the splash park, way up high!

She LOVED watching the basketball "players"

Daddy scored a ball for Adele!

The wave pool was pretty fun too!

Under the waterfall:

Best buds!

Floating!

More Slides!

How big is Adele?

Story time with Wiley the Wolf:

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (Only Adele's FAVORITE story!)

"Tootie bear, no tail."

(Daddy pointed out the bear and said, "just like cookie." Adele checked it out but had to point out that the bear on the wall had no tail. Smart girl!)
