All Kinds of Nines!
At 8:48 this morning, Anna will be 9 months, 9 days, 9 hours and 9 minutes old. Pretty cool. In honor of this special event, here are nine pictures of my littlest sweetheart:

Baby Babbling and More!
I promised more about Anna's babbling, but never followed through-oopsie!
Two weekends ago, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. We were in the car, playing I Spy with Adele, and I spied Wendy's. When Adele guessed it, Anna shouted out "Wendy's" too! We all heard it...so, lots of witnesses! Of course, she hasn't repeated it since, and I'm sure she had NO idea what she was saying, but it is SO cute how she imitates Adele all of the time!
She now consistently waves and says, bye bye (it sounds more like 'bah bah', but she's clearly saying/meaning "bye bye") so I guess that's her first word!
Adele and I were talking about how much we love each other at breakfast yesterday. I told her I love her all the way to the moon and back (a quote from one of our bedtime books) and she informed me that Daddy is going to take her to the stars someday. When I asked how she will get there, she told me that she will need to wear a pull-up, because it's a long ride. Then she added that they will fly in a big, big rocket, like Curious George. Wow.
Anna didn't repeat that story...thank goodness! I don't know how I'd feel if BOTH of my girls flew to the stars in a big, big rocket!

9 Months!
I can't believe our "little" Anna is nine months old today!
She can...
Crawl like a pro
Cruise around the furniture
Sit down from a stand
Babble (We haven't gotten another "honest" 'bye bye' out of her yet)
Put herself to sleep (with a few minutes of crying) most of the time if she doesn't fall asleep nursing
Drink from a sippy cup (although she still spits out more than she ends up drinking)
Eat Cheerios, Goldfish and other crunchy (and not really healthy) snacks-to be like her big sissy!
She loves to watch Adele-most of Anna's laughing is in response to something (ANYTHING!) Adele does! She loves when Adele crawls around on the floor with her, espeically! Also-a new game our neighbor "taught" her was peek-a-boo under the kitchen table-Anna gets laughing so hard when Adele "plays" it that she "rocks" her chair around the kitchen!
She consistently takes two naps a day. They still range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, with no particular rhyme or reason. She wakes up several times at night still, but I'm trying not to complain, because somehow she has already turned 9 months old on me, which means that my "snuggle in the middle of the night" time is getting limited! She still goes to bed between 6:30 and 7:30 on most nights. Last night I took both girls to the Y (By myself!) and she didn't go to bed until 8. She was only up once (I think...) around 5:00, and got up for the day sometime after 7:30, so that was encouraging!
She has ridden rides at Chuck E Cheese and Ben and Ari's ("New" Chuck E Cheese, if you ask Adele) and would do just about anything to keep up with that big sister of hers!
Happy Birthday, baby Anna Kate! We love you more each day!

Ketchup
Adele still likes dipping everything (including bananas) in ketchup, but that's not really why I called this post "ketchup"...
Really, I need to catch you all up on my amazing, beautiful daughters and just what they are up to nowadays!
In a video chat with Bapa the other day (Maybe Monday or Tuesday...I've GOT to get better about writing these things down!), Anna waved goodbye for the first "official" time...meaning that she didn't wave while she walked away from the person, or after the fact. She waved as she looked at Bapa waving. Pretty impressive!
Yesterday (Wednesday), we received a package in the mail from Aunt Dee Dee with some adorable (matching) clothes for the girls, along with some Valentines and...candy. We made a video to say thank you, but never got around to actually saying "thank you", because Anna waved AND said "bye bye" at the same time. She has been mimicking sounds for quite a while now (more on that later) but had never actually said something at the appropriate time, or repeated something upon request. So, another milestone for Anna!
In other news, we had a major ice storm a few weeks ago, and spent a lot of time indoors. We managed to find ways to pass the time:
Potato (and apple) stamps:
And when we ran out of ideas, we braved the ice:
Adele was so cute trying to pull me (the ground was basically glare ice-the "chunks" you see are bits of ice that fell off of the trees in the wind.)
Anna didn't mind the cold so much this time:
Anna has been expanding her palate...or tasting her plate...one of the two!
And of course, we cheered the Packers on to victory in the Superbowl!
And this one of Cookie was too cute not to share...
We celebrated the Superbowl (And Adele's completed sticker chart) by going to Chuck E Cheese. Both girls had a blast there, but I only managed to get pictures of Anna...
Daddy reading with two of his favorite girls:
Uhoh....she's got shoes on her hands...who does THAT remind me of???
Looking SO big!
