Fishers Freedom Fest!

This weekend was the Fishers Freedom Fest. Tim, Laura and James came down for the weekend and we had a ball. James was even a trooper and didn't let his fever get him down on Sunday (we're hoping it was just his teeth that made him feverish...so far, so good for Miss Adele!)
Corn hole:

Adele was more interested in the bones than in feeding them to the dog, but she finally figured out what she was supposed to do here:

Once again, she wasn't quite sure of the rules, and she plopped all of the ducks into the pond (hey, at least she didn't try to get in herself!) She was supposed to use the squirt gun to push the duck across the pool.

More corn-hole. This time the prize was a piggy bank, or a "lalala" as Adele calls them...Thank you, Sandra Boynton!

Football:

Adele threw the bowling ball straight down on the ground. I helped her out, and what do you know...we got a strike!

Touching the Lombardi Trophy! Go Colts!:

The games were fun, but Adele's favorite part of the day was the corn dog. She ate the entire thing all by herself!

Adele also liked the dog disc competition, and would shout out regularly, "Dog!" as the dogs ran around. She got her first tattoo (a temporary one!), got a heart painted on her arm, colored a beach ball, and played in a pool filled with rice in the children's tent...what fun!

She was a bit fussy during the parade, but there were long breaks in the action and it was hot outside, but she did enjoy the Shriners in their tiny cars, and the tractors (She learned that word this weekend...apparently James does have a positive influence on her vocabulary!) And to end the weekend, Adele slept soundly through the fireworks. You go girl!

We can't wait until next year!
