Daddy and I didn't really do anything special to celebrate our 6th anniversary...we were just too tired!
We had Grandma and Grandpa here this weekend, not to mention, a poor sleeper, so I've gotten backed up on Blogs again...sorry!
Where to start???
Let's see...We have good news in the allergy department! Adele is not allergic to Amoxicillin. Dr. Freeman thinks that her rash was a viral rash, brought on by her fever. So, we did stop giving the antibiotics, but not because of an allergy. Adele seems to be finally getting better, but she did sound stuffy this evening...argh!
This weekend was the Freedom Festival in our town. Daddy and I look forward to this weekend all year long! It's like a fair with no animals or rides :) It's located at the park in the middle of our subdivision, just a couple of blocks away from our house. There are food and craft vendors along with some fun events (dog disc competitions, bands, dance performances, and this year a Lumberjack Show) to watch, plus a parade and fireworks to close out the weekend. We had to dodge the rain a bit, but I think Adele enjoyed both of our trips over to the Festival. We have a perfect view of the fireworks from our deck, so the grownups sat outside (with the baby monitor) and watched the display while Adele....SLEPT? Yup...she can't (or won't, in my opinion!) sleep through the night yet, but she can sleep through fireworks going off just blocks away from her house. As Daddy said last night, "God is playing a pretty funny joke on us!"
Adele is still a Momma's girl and prefers to look at Grandma and Grandpa rather than be held by them, but she did let Grandma feed her her solid foods. She even tried carrots for Grandma and liked them (at least more than she liked the sweet potatoes last week!) She also loves to laugh and smile at Grandpa when he makes faces and noises for her!
Today, Miss Adele didn't want to nap at all! She took 3 20-minute naps, and that was it. (Maybe I should stock up on fireworks and set them off during naptime...) She has also been waking up by 6 am...yuck, yuck, yuck! She's asleep now, which means I should be too...bye for now!
