Last night Daddy beat the "Endless Setlist" on Rock Band (on Expert, by the way). But basically what that means is that he (well...we, I helped a little) played playstation non-stop for about 6 1/2 hours! We traded off a little so that he could take the girls for a walk, and clean up from Adele's bath, but he did the majority of the work. We're both pretty proud of him (I never thought he'd actually do it!)
However....6 1/2 hours of non-stop playstation can wear a person out! He started just before 5, which means he wasn't done until around 11:30...that's way past our bedtime! So, today we were pretty tired. Adele and I let Daddy sleep in a little bit, but we couldn't resist snuggling with him in bed around 8:30. Cookie wanted in too, and we just can't say no to her fluffy face. As my earlier blog stated, Cookie fell out of the bed. She was busy scratching herself and suddenly found herself on the floor. It was funny in a sad kind of way. We wish we could've seen her face as she fell!
There were tiny snowflakes falling while we took our morning walk...that means it's FINALLY starting to feel like fall! That's good because our downtown is already decorated for Christmas, and that just feels weird when it's in the mid-70's outside!
We went to Pizza Hut for lunch, and Adele was a little cutie. She ate baby food, but did get to chomp on the crust of one of my slices of pizza. She kept herself entertained while we ate, and did a great job of eating her own food.
Daddy took Adele swimming while I gave Cookie a bath (poor Cookie, she's had a rough day!) Then Adele napped while Daddy mowed the lawn (no more beautiful leaves...how sad).
I made stir-fry for dinner while Adele and Daddy played, and then we did a video chat with Memaw and Gramps. So, we were busy all day, but it felt like a lazy day at the same time. (And we didn't even watch any football...)
Adele was pretty much a sweetie all day long! Daddy and I weren't able to take the naps that we had planned on, but we got lots of stuff done around the house, and Adele was so fun to be around, we preferred to hang out with her anyway.
